Why don’t we dump the grand prix?
Published 1 year, 8 months ago in My life.Let’s give the grand prix back to Adelaide. They need it more than we do. We can keep the 100 other major events that swamp this city. It’s just the same thing every year. Does anyone care? (Leaving aside the vexed question of how much it really costs and how much we really get back.)

You’ve hit the nail on the head, nooknook. Adelaide needs it, we don’t, and it’s just costing us money.
I suspect the only reason we poached the Grand Prix was because we couldn’t stand Adelaide having a big event!
Nah I love it in Melbourne. The 100 other major events don’t swamp this city, they put us on the worldwide map! Most of the yanks think Melbourne or Victoria is Australia’s capital. lol. Lets keep it that way hehe.
