The Jam.
Yeah, not bad. A bit inconsistent.
Live Palindrome Santa Anagram
YES! Gotta love Stillborn, he’s a legend.
that is a very big question. easy to write down but very difficult to answer. there have been so many variations of rock music. you could start with the 1950’s and Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis etc. then the Beatles came along in the early 1960’s and the floodgates opened and the bands and music was amazing. I like the 1960’s and 1970’s hard rock music ie: Rolling Stones Led Zeppelin Deep Purple …. and on and on. I also like some heavy metal.
sorry your question is too hard to answer.
Queens of the Stone Age have to be up there!
It has to be the beatles weather you like them or not, firstly because of their popularity, number of no. 1’s, length of time at no.1, or on charts, no. of gold, silver, plat. records, no. of countries, their ground breakingness and so on.
Spinal Tap
Sure, but it’s so hard to beat: The Monkees!!
it has to be The Beatles but I love U2 - both such obvious choices I know!
The Beatles and Queen
Wolfmother. Such originality in a sea of blatant rip-offs. The freshest band since The Strokes!
It’s possibly apocryphal but I seem to remember something Bob Dylan said when he won his first Grammy a few years ago, about 40 years’ late. He said something like: “Wow, if I win another one of these I’ll have as many as Alvin and the Chipmunks.'’ So, as dual Grammy winners, perhaps Al and the boys should be on this list.
